Within their larger work (Secret War) the authors devote a chapter to their explanation of the Israeli attack on USS Liberty.
According to these authors, the attack on USS Liberty was deliberate, not an accident. USS Liberty was to be sunk because the Israelis were convinced that Liberty was using super-sophisticated listening and direction finding gear to locate individual Israeli tanks in the Sinai desert. The purpose of this exercise was to identify and locate all Israeli armor in the Sinai and then pass this information along to the Egyptians. The Israelis, according to the authors, saw this as a direct threat to their existence and felt that they had no choice but to attack and sink Liberty.
The authors claim to have spoken directly with some of the pilots involved in the attack and confirmed these facts directly. They also make the claim that two of the attacking pilots were United States citizens.
As with the remainder of the book, chapter twelve paints a picture of a massive, anti-Jewish conspiracy at work. Liberty's operations were in furtherance of that giant multi-national conspiracy to destroy Israel.
More than anything else, this book is a Jewish version of The Turner Diaries.
